Saharawi delegation participated in congress of Norwegian labour party
Saharawi delegation chaired by The Polisario’s representative in Nordic countries, Brahim Mojtaba, participates in the congress62 of the Norwegian labour party , between April 18to21,As learned from the delegation.
The Saharawi delegation was received by the head of the International Department of the Party, who reiterated support for the struggle of the Saharawi people for right to self-determination.
The delegation had meetings with various foreign participants, including Sweden, Finland, United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Palestine, South Africa and the SPLM in Southern Sudan where All these delegations reiterated their support for the Saharawi cause, added the source.
For its part, the Congress in its policy statement, adopted a paragraph on the Western Sahara indicates that the Labour Party will “focus his attention on the Western Sahara and to work towards improving the situation of the Sahrawi people,” and wants” Norway to increase its humanitarian aid to the Sahrawi people,”
The Labour Party encourages Morocco and the Polisario Front to negotiate under the auspices of the United Nations, this” negotiation has to be based on internationally accepted positions by different United Nations agencies”.
The Norwegian labour party has demanded to “end all forms of abuses in Western Sahara and to impose respect of human rights”
Finally the party in its policy statement, called on” all Norwegian companies not to invest in Western Sahara,” as well as requested” the Norwegian government to act in international forums for more countries to do likewise."
